Paddock Wood Lions Club
Carnival.
8th July 2006.
St Andrew Field, Paddock Wood.
This year's Carnival was the 24th organised by the Lions Club, and was one of our best ever.
Featuring a procession through the town was led by the TS Brilliant Sea Cadets, and including colourful floats and dancing majorette troupes. Local town community groups supporting the procession included Scallywags pre-school, Laddingford Primary School, Weald of Kent Gymnastics, Hop-Scotch pre-school, Paddock Wood Primary School, and Paddock Wood Athletics Club.
After the procession St Andrews Field was the venue for our Arena entertainment, and the many varied stalls offering traditional games and local produce. Many local charities also provide stalls raising money for their causes. More than 2000 people joined in the fun, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the event.
All of the money raised by Paddock Wood Lions at this annual event is spent supporting worthy causes in the local community.
Next Years event is Saturday 14th July 2007.
